About

About the game

Guess That Season is a daily football puzzle. Each day you're given a season from football history and five chances to guess the year it ended, using clues that are revealed one at a time.

The game covers two competitions, alternating from day to day: the English top flight from 1950/51 to the present, spanning both the old First Division and the Premier League era, and the European Cup from 1955/56 to today.

How to play

1
You start with one clue — a top scorer, a Ballon d'Or winner, or another hint from that season.
2
Type in the four-digit year the season ended. Green digits mean the right number in the right place.
3
Every wrong guess reveals a new clue — up to five in total, ending with the full league table or knockout bracket.

Who made it

Guess That Season is an independent project built for football fans who love the history of the game. It's free to play, with a new puzzle every day.
